Merrell Heads to Houston to Work Alongside Team Rubicon
During the week of March 4, the Merrell Work team flew down to Houston to thank and support the Team Rubicon volunteers and staff that were still hard at work helping rebuild after the devastation caused two years ago by Hurricane Harvey. The Merrell team hosted a dinner and private concert, followed by a day volunteering alongside the Team Rubicon crew. Each Team Rubicon staff member, Clay Hunt Fellow, and volunteer received a pair of Merrell’s new Moab Vertex work boots, socks, a t-shirt, and a gift card to Merrell.com.
The rebuild project in Houston is part of Team Rubicon’s recent extension of their capabilities and services into long-term recovery for those affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria. Their goal for the Houston area is to rebuild 100 homes, with 30 already completed over the last year. Their rebuilding efforts focus on low to moderate-income families to make the greatest impact possible.
Merrell is proud to partner with Team Rubicon and support the incredible work they’re doing. The impact they have on those they help during and after natural disasters is inspiring and life-changing to all those involved.
To date, Merrell has donated more than 1,000 pairs of boots to volunteers and staff. Merrell looks forward to growing their long-term partnership with Team Rubicon.
