The Conservation Alliance Celebrates the Signing of the Public Lands Bill
Strick Walker, Merrell CMO and Conservation Alliance Board Member, joined 40 other CA members in Washington D.C. to thank Congress for passing the historic legislation and discuss the future protection of our lands.
This public lands package passed the Senate and the House in February with broad support from both sides of the aisle. The Natural Resources Management Act protects 2,484,640 acres and 676 river miles, and permanently reauthorizes the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
President Trump has now officially signed the public lands bill!
“This is historic conservation victory that preserves wild places throughout the United States, forever. This package of conservation lands bills passed through a Congress best known for its discord, demonstrating that protected public lands are truly our common ground.” – John Sterling, Executive Director of The Conservation Alliance.
